A collaboration between Luca Gargano and Richard Seale

A blend of single matured rum (ex-bourbon cask) and double matured rums (ex-bourbon and ex-sherry cask) matured for a total of 14 years. Each rum is a blend of the copper double retort pot stills and the traditional twin column stil before barrel filling.

A.H. Riise Frogman Conventus Ranae rom is a tribute to the Danish Frogman Corps. After completing service, the Frogmen can join the "Conventus Ranae" ("a collection of frogs" in Latin), which is the seed men' association, which aims to strengthen the bond between active and retired Frogmen. A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Frogman Conventus Ranae is hand-blended, matured in oak barrels and tapped at 60% ABV. A.H. Riise Frogman Conventus Ranae 60% rum has a scent of balsamic icing, mocha, burnt food and orange. Abuelo XII Anos Two Oaks is a lovely soft rum from Varela Hermanos in Panama. It is a 12-year-old rum that has been stored in two characteristic oak barrels. First in carefully selected ex-bourbon barrels and then in brand new and extra charred American oak barrels. The dishes are carefully selected and treated in Napa Valley, California. They are roasted at 180 ° C for a long 60 minutes to gently open the wood, and then the heat is turned up to 220 ° C to achieve the deep charring of the desired 8 mm. This two-step process allows the Abuelo XII Anos Two Oaks to draw an incredible amount of flavor from the wood, creating a natural carbon filter that provides an exceptionally soft Two Oaks finish. Nose: great aroma of oak, light smoke and fine notes of vanilla, coffee and roasted almonds. Taste: prominent oak notes with a special smoky sweetness. Caramel, spices, and roasted coffee beans with fine notes of cola and nuts. 40% - 70cl.

Great spirits reflect the art of the hand that nutures them. It is the cellar master who works diligently every day in the depths of the dark cellar perfecting each barrel. His role is often underestimated due to his confidentiality, ensuring that knowledge is passe down from cellar master to cellar master in the greatest secrecy. The result is an exceptional spirit creating an unforgettable emotion.

Sometimes we find a rum barrel in our cellar that is simply perfect in its natural state. Striving not for balance or harmoney, it stands alone for its uniqueness of taste which can only be described as "extreme". This cask is then set aside and bottled for its sheer exquisite essence, resulting in a very limited edition of what we call Plantation Extreme

A Brief history of the Rum Tot
On July 31st 1970 a 300 year-old Royal Naval traditon ended at precisely 6 bells in the forenoon wacth when the last rum ration was issued aboard ships og the British Royal Navy
- A day to be forever remembered as Black Tot day

Original Royal Navy records confirm that the rum used for the rum ration was most likely imported from the West Indies in oak casks by E.D. & F. Man & Co. Official rum merchants to the Navy since 1784. It was transferred into large oak marrying vats in the hostoric victualling warehouses of Deptford in east London, Gosport or Devonport from where it was despatched to British Royal Navy ships.

With the withdrawal of the rum ration, the British Royal Navy had little use for the remaining rum stocks which were filled into wicker clad stone flagons and transferred to HM Bonded warehouses where it lay undisturbed to British Royal Navy ships.

This bottle of Black Tot contains the Last Consignment of the original Royal Navy rum and was bottled frim the original imperial gallon stone flagons into which it had been filled and sealed under HM customs and excise supervision in december 1970.

For more than 300 years, the sailorts of the British Navy enjoyed a tot of rum for every day of their service. The loss of the rum nation on 31. July 1970 is mourned as Black Tot Day.

The rum the sailors dranks was aged in a solera containing rums of all aged, sourced from all over the former British colonies. The rich heart of this blends was Demerara rum from Guyana.

This wonderfully rich and weighty rum was made from dark, rich molasses. It was distilled on the Caribbean island of Guyana in 1975 and has been ageing in barrels for more than 40 years. It is a pure rum with no sugar added, and all the flavour comes from the combination of incredeble spirit, high-quality casks and time.

Santos Dumont is a rum based spirit drink made both molasses and cane juice. Conventional rums are generally into either English, Spanish or French. This is something else entirely. We have created the perfect balanced between the traditional slow fermented molasses distillates from the West Indies and Central America with the traditional cane juice from Brazil. "Santos Dumont XO" blend is truely in a category all of its own.
The peerless "Santos Dumont XO" inherits its variaty of aromatic flavour from years in beautiful old barrels, which creates a smooth, rich and warm taste of ripe fruits and honey-like flavours. The precious drops touch the palate with a pleasant viscosity and a buttery feel oin the tongue. The experience finishes with a velvety soft and delicately sweet aftertaste with notes of vanilla and coconut.

This excellent bottle is named in honour of Alberto Santon Dumont (20th july 1873 - 23rd july 1932) who was a world-famous aviation pioneer, aristocrat, celebrity and style icon. He was the heir of a wealty family known as the coffee kings of Brazil, and from the sugar cane grown on the plantation, they distilled cachaca.
In 1891, Santon Dumont moved to French, where he designed, built and flew his first airship. His conquest of the air began, in particular, with winning the "Deutsch De La Meurthe" prize in october 1901 where he flew round the Eiffel Tower. This event made him one of the most famous people of the early 20th century. In 1904 Alberto Santos Dumont complained to his friend Louis Cartier of the unreliability and impracticality of using pocket watches while flying. Cartier consequently designed a flat wristwatch with a distinctive square bezel. This unique watch was liked by not only Santos Dumont himself but also many other appreciative new customers. The "Santos" was Cartier´s first men´s wristwatch.

The essence of Plantation Original Rum lies in its truly rich taste. This rum is made as it was in the olden days, when it was highly flavoursome. We handpick each barrel, one by one, and blend elegant double-aged rum from Barbados with a smaller quantity of rich, high ester, pot-still Jamaican rum that has been extensivily matured. This precious rum nectar imparts an ancient touch which some aficionados call the "rum funk". In former days out in the Caribean, it was called the "HOGO", a term derived from the French ´Haut Goût´, which means ´High Taste´ I learned from an old cellar master that this is the way rum was blended in 18th and 19th centuries.

The Three Stars of the Caribbean
Barbados Island:
Their pot stills instills depth of flavour and a wide aromatic range to the blend while column stills bring lighter notes and consistency. Good rums from Barbadis are well rounded and show perfect balance between richness and elegance with subtle sugar cane and sweet tropical fruit notes and light banana-type aroma.

Jamaica Island:
Rum is fundamental to Jamaican culture: even non-drinkers will have a bottle at home, to offer a sip to guest or to use as a little "medicine" for what ails them. Jamaican rum are the fullest flavor, woth much character and individuality. They present all aromas of Jamaica: Molasses, banana and tropical fruits. The highly aromatic Jamaican style - having a heavy, backbone, with no compromise - has always been envied.

Trinidad Island:
The distillers here use mainly column stills to produce the lighter bodied and stylish Trinidadian style rum. Despite the fact the Trinidad is the home of bitters, the rum has finese and elegance. It shows delicate notes of citrus and gentle spices woth a touch of vanilla that comes from the oak barrels it is age in.

O.F.T.D. - Old Fashioned Traditional Dark

Plantation O.F.T.D Overproof:
Back in the Age of sail, the rum was rich flavorful and strong. It had to be, because nobody was going to hand it out to sailors without first tuning it into punch, or at least cutting it with water, and the rum had to be able to stand up to that. Plantation O.F.T.D is our take on that classic style. And not just ours; to join him on the quest ti get the blend and the proof just right, our award winning Cellar Master, Alexandre Gabriel, sourced rums-joints around the world to find six grizzled old salts who knew which end of a rum-bottle was which. Together they came up with this blend of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados rums, bottled at (just to be on the safe side) a full 20 degrees overproof, according to the way they used to measure these tings in the Royal Navy.

In nineteenth-century England, one of the most prized delicacy was a thing called "pineapple rum", a sipping spirit par excellent. Unfortunately, like many good things from the past, it eventually fell out of use and its memory has faded -unless, of course, you´re a reader of Charles Dickens´ immortal Pickwick Papers, in which it is featured prominently as the favoured drink of esteemed Rev. Stiggins. Well, "esteemed" is a strong word. It would take a perverse reader indeed to consider Mr. Stiggings as anything but a hypocrite for preaching temperance while largely existing on a diet of free drinks at Mrs. Weller´s pub. But it would take a reader just as perverse to deny his connoisseurship in the matter of those drinks. His endorsement of Mrs. Weller´s pineapple rum is good enough for us.

Before the European arrival in the Americans, the pineapple, an American native, was cultivated by the Guarani people of the Caribbean. The Queen Victoria variety was first introduced in 1668 on Reunion Island; It is cinsidered the best in the world due to its rich, juicy flesh and sweet taste. It works beautifully with rum.

Compagnie des Indes Rum offer a wide variety of origin in order to showcase the diversity of taste and aromas, as well as the know-how and "terroir" of each origin. Similar to wine making, rums can present different flavor profiles depending on the region they produced in. At Compagnie des Indes, the "terroir" is respected in every rum of our range; From our blends up to out most regarded Single Cask.

This room originates from the island of Barbados in the Caribbean archipelago. It was distilled in a continuous column distillation apparatus on a sugar cane molasses base, back in 1999 at the Foursquare Rum Distillery. Thereafter, the rum was matured for a full eight years at the distillery and subsequently shipped to England for further maturation. The rum has been matured for a full 21 years and has been bottled as a single cask at a barrel strength of 61% alcohol. There are only 210 copies of this unique.

Great House Distillery Edition is a tribute to the astonishingly old mansion at the distillery. Hampden´s Great House was built in 1779 by the first owners of the Estate, the Stirlings. Its firsts floor was used for rum storage ( Barrels waiting to be transferred to the cargo ships) until 20th Century. Today it´s the house of reprensentation for guests and visitors.

Our Master Distiller created this blend using the most representative marks of our distillery. The Distillery Edition represents the authentic expression of the unique and unrepeatable style of Trelawny rums.

A.H Riise Navy Naval Cadet is the latest rum in the Navy series from A.H Riise. In this case, the A.H Riise Naval Cadet is bottled at an alcohol strength of 42% and is thus a few percent higher than the original Navy rum from A.H Riise. Naval Cadet is a tribute to the Sea Cadet Company today known as the Navy's officer school. A.H Riise Naval Cadet has the classic A.H Riise scent of orange peel, coconut and licorice root, as well as shades of overripe tropical fruit. The taste is deep, bold and sweet, with eucalyptus, mint and citrus.

Compagnie des Indes is a so-called "independent bottler". The company was started by the Frenchman Florent Beuchet, and draws inspiration from the British East India Company, which in the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries imported rare and exotic goods from all over the world to Europe. In the same way, Florent finds casks from brokers and distilleries throughout the rum world – from Florida to Jamaica, Fiji and Indonesia – and bottles them under the Compagnie des Indes brand. Many are bottled as "single casks", but CDI also publishes well-composed blends.

For the past few years, the rest of Europe has turned enviously to Denmark when Florent serves the annual batch of exclusive, Danish single cask bottlings.

It is part of a development project in Ghana.
The rum is made from fresh sugar cane juice. It is potstill distilled and then aged in Denmark in a 130 L American Virgin oak cask. This dish is brand new and virgin. Already after a short time, we could see that the rum developed violently, and we have therefore tasted and checked it regularly. The end result is this rum, which ended up being aged for 7 months in casks before bottling. It is bottled unfiltered, and there were only 188 bottles of this exciting rum.
