Winemaker Tim Mondavi was responsible for the production of Opus One for 30 years, before he and the family with the sale of Robert Mondavi Winery set sail to make their very own cult wine: A wine from the best of the best vines from one specific terroir on almost untouched "Sage Mountain" so high up that you look down on Napa Valley and the fog that surrounds it every morning... And like summer summer of life and biodiversity from morning to evening.

Sage Mountain Vineyard Napa Valley 2019
The grapes for this wine are the classic Napa Valley grapes, but predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and, not least, Merlot. The wine is fermented in large French oak barrels, where the wine is then aged in 85% new French oak for 18 months. The wine is neither clarified nor filtered when bottling.
