Vintage Port is made exclusively from the very best wines from a single harvest. After fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately two years in wooden barrels before being bottled to continue its slow and majestic maturation. This is where the magic happens – in the bottle, Fonseca Vintage Port develops a deep complexity and refinement that can continue for decades.

Tasting notes

Color: Dense, almost blackish purple with a deep ruby red rim.

Aroma: Intense and expressive with dark berry, blackcurrant, plum and floral notes, complemented by spice and subtle chocolate.

Flavor: Powerful and concentrated with massive fruit depth, firm but ripe tannins and a perfect balance between sweetness and freshness.

Finish: Extremely long, structured and complex with great ageing potential.
