Continuum Sage Mountain Vineyard Proprietary Red Blend 2019 – Napa Valley

Continuum Sage Mountain Vineyard 2019 is a big and elegant red wine from Napa Valley in California. The wine is made at Sage Mountain Vineyard, which is located high above the valley and provides optimal conditions for growing Bordeaux grapes with great concentration and finesse.

This Proprietary Red Blend is composed of classic Napa Valley grapes. Cabernet Sauvignon forms the backbone of the wine, providing structure, depth and intense fruit. Cabernet Franc adds aromatic complexity, Merlot contributes softness and richness, while Petit Verdot adds color, power and structure.

After harvest, the grapes are fermented in large French oak vats where the character of the wine is gently developed. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 85% of which are new barrels. The long barrel aging gives the wine extra depth, spicy nuances and a silky smooth structure.

The wine is bottled without clarification or filtration to preserve maximum flavor, structure and complexity. The result is a wine with great concentration, elegance and impressive ageing potential.

Continuum 2019 is a wine that is perfect for aging for many years, but can also be enjoyed now after oxygenation. It is an excellent match for hearty beef, lamb or game dishes.
