Dyrehøj Vineyard Red Wine Reserve Røsnæs 2022

Dyrehøj Vingård Red Wine Reserve Røsnæs 2022 is a powerful and elegant Danish red wine from one of Denmark’s most ambitious producers. From the sunny, south-facing slopes of Røsnæs – surrounded by sea and raw nature – this reserve wine is created with depth, structure and international expression.

The Leon Millot and Regent grapes thrive in the sunny microclimate and calcareous soil, which provides optimal conditions for ripe fruit and complexity. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified with a focus on quality and balance, after which the wine is aged for a full 22 months in French oak barrels. This aging adds depth, structure and fine spicy nuances.

The result is a Danish red wine with character and finesse – ideal for those looking for a serious food wine. It’s perfect with game, pork and slow braised beef, where the structure and richness of the wine really comes into its own.

Tasting notes

Powerful and well-structured red wine with notes of dark berries, ripe fruits and slightly spicy barrel nuances. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, and the wine finishes with a nicely balanced acidity and long aftertaste.

The history of the house

Dyrehøj Vingård is Denmark’s largest vineyard and is located on the sunny peninsula of Røsnæs. Here, modern wine production is combined with respect for nature and terroir. The unique climate with many hours of sunshine and chalky soils provide optimal conditions for quality wine, and today Dyrehøj is among the frontrunners in Danish wine production.
