Power, smoke, and sherry sweetness in perfect balance. Fary Lochan Smoke & Sherry #02 is an intense and characterful Danish single malt whisky, distilled according to classic whisky traditions and carefully matured and hand-bottled at Fary Lochan in Denmark.

This exclusive release was first matured in Bourbon Quarter Casks, adding structure, vanilla, and richness. The whisky then received a refined finish in a PX Sherry Hogshead, bringing extra depth, dark fruit character, and a luxurious sweetness. The combination of smoke and Pedro Ximénez sherry creates a complex, multi-dimensional whisky with both power and elegance.

The casks were filled on 25 December 2013 and again on 10 March 2021 in connection with the finishing period. Bottled on 5 August 2022 at a bold 50.7%, this whisky delivers intensity, structure, and a long, lingering finish. Only 533 bottles were produced — a true limited edition for collectors and dedicated whisky lovers.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Smoked malt, dark raisins, dried figs, and sweet vanilla from the bourbon casks.
• Palate: Full-bodied and powerful with layers of dried fruit, dark caramel, spices, and elegant peat smoke.
• Finish: Long and warming with deep sherry sweetness, gentle smoke, and rounded cask character.

Best enjoyed neat for the full experience — optionally with a few drops of water to open the aromas further.
