Founder Jess Jackson began with 80 acres of orchard north of Napa Valley, which he converted to winemaking. The house Chardonnay in particular quickly put Kendall-Jackson on the world map, and the Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay became an American classic.

Today, the legacy is carried on by the next generation with a strong focus on nature conservation, sustainable cultivation and uncompromising quality – from their own French barrels to modern vinification methods.
