Maxime Trijol Rare Ancestral Grande Champagne Cognac – An exclusive world-class taste experience

Maxime Trijol Rare Ancestral Grande Champagne Cognac is the epitome of luxury, time and uncompromising quality. A rare Grande Champagne Cognac created from Ugni Blanc grapes from the chalky soils of the Cognac region’s most prestigious cru. It achieves a unique finesse and depth of ageing that only the best terroirs can deliver.

Grande Champagne is known for its chalky subsoil and mild maritime climate, which combine to create distillates with great elegance, high acidity and impressive ageing potential. This is why the area is considered Cognac’s supreme origin.

Rare Ancestral is an exquisite blend of the oldest eaux-de-vie from Maxime Trijol’s cellars – some between 30 and 100 years old. This extraordinary blend provides a depth, richness and complexity that only decades of patience and experience can produce. The result is a cognac with intense character and sublime balance.

Tasting notes – A journey through time and rancio

Aroma: Seductive and complex with notes of juicy peaches, sweet marmalade, candied orange peel and fine oxidative notes.

Taste: Silky and opulent with nuances of vanilla, soft caramel, roasted nuts and dried fruit. The cognac is in the third rancio phase – a deep and mature character found only in the most exclusive Grande Champagne cognacs.

Finish: Extremely long and elegant with lasting complexity, spice and refined sweetness.

Award-winning quality – International recognition

This exceptional cognac has received several prestigious awards:

  • Spirits Business Master Medal: 2011
  • New York International Spirits Competition: 2016
  • Cognac Producer of the Year: New York International Spirits Competition 2017

Maison Maxime Trijol – Five generations of craftsmanship

The history of Maison Maxime Trijol dates back to 1859, when the family installed their first still in the heart of the Cognac region. Today, more than five generations later, the house is known as the region’s largest family-owned producer, with twenty traditional Charente copper pot stills.

Much of the production is supplied to international players, but the most exceptional casks are selected and bottled under the family’s own name. Rare Ancestral is the culmination of this heritage – a cognac for connoisseurs, collectors and connoisseurs who want the absolute best of Grande Champagne.
