Mosgaard 7 Sisters 8-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky is a remarkable Danish single malt that combines tradition, innovation, and uncompromising craftsmanship. This exclusive bottling is the third release in the coveted 7 Sisters series, which tracks the same spirit through several years of maturation. Each year, a single cask is released, allowing whisky enthusiasts to experience how time shapes the flavor from seven to thirteen years of aging.

The whisky was distilled in 2017 and has spent eight years in a single, custom-built 140-liter Oloroso sherry cask. The cask was rebuilt from carefully selected 30- to 40-year-old Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a slower and more harmonious maturation than that of smaller quarter casks. The result is a deep, elegant, and complex whiskey in which the cask and distillate blend perfectly.

The whisky was bottled at natural cask strength of 58.2% in May 2026 without chill filtration. Only 184 bottles have been released, making this edition an extremely rare bottling for both collectors and passionate whiskey enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh pears, orange peel, toasted walnuts, and elegant Oloroso sherry notes with dark chocolate.

Taste: Full-bodied and intense with ripe fruit, sherry sweetness, nuts, dark chocolate, and warm spices.

Finish: Long, silky smooth, and lingering with notes of tobacco, oak, dried fruit, and spicy sherry.
