A.D. Rattray Cask Collection
A. D. Rattray has been a family business involved in the blending and maturation of Single Malt Scotch Whisky since 1868. The company´s horse-dawn carts, carrying cases of fine wines and spirits, were a familar sight on Clydeside and in Central Glasgow during the late 1800s. Today, the company Andrew Dewar Rattray founded is based on the West coast of Scotland and in the hands of the Morrison family whose name and reputation are steeped in whisky history.
As a independent whisky company A. D. Rattray now sources spirit and cask from all the traditional whisky regions of Scotland. Only the finest are selected for bottling as part of the A. D. Rattray cask collection; each distillery represented is different and every cask unique. This result in a distinctive expression of distillery character and cask maturation in every bottling.
This sprit has been rough filtered, removing any fragments of charred wood left behind by the cask, and then bottled at natural colour and cask strength. No flavour is lost as a result, and the true essence of the whisky spirit and cask interaction is allowed to stand out.
