Caol Ila 10 year Parcel No. 7 is an intense and elegant Islay single malt whisky from The Single Malts of Scotland – Reserve Casks series. This small batch bottling is made for whisky enthusiasts who love the classic Islay smoke combined with finesse, freshness and complexity. At 48% strength, you get a whisky with great depth, where the character of the distillery really shines through.

The whisky was distilled in 2011 at the iconic Caol Ila Distillery on Islay. After 10 years of maturation, it was bottled in 2021. The release, known as Parcel No. 7, is created from just four carefully selected casks. The result is a whisky with a beautiful balance of smoke, citrus, sea salt and classic Islay character.

The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks series focuses on taste rather than age alone. Each release is selected with great precision to showcase the distillery’s true style. This whisky is neither cold-filtered nor colored. The result is an authentic experience that retains the natural character of the whisky from cask maturation.

During maturation, approximately 13.3% of the whisky has disappeared into the so-called angel’s share. This is a natural part of maturation and contributes to the concentration, depth and complexity of the whisky.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Fresh and maritime with classic Islay smoke, sea salt, citrus, green apples and a hint of dried seaweed.

Taste: Elegantly smoky with notes of lemon, vanilla, malt, light sweetness and a hint of pepper and ash.

Finish: Long and balanced with dry smoke, salted caramel, citrus and slightly spicy oak.
