Cardinale Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2008 – Iconic Napa wine with depth and grandeur
Cardinale Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2008 is the epitome of great Napa Valley wine: intense, elegant and uncompromisingly blended. A wine that captures the essence of Napa Valley’s most prestigious vineyards in one bottle – created for wine lovers, collectors and connoisseurs seeking top American wine with both power and finesse.
Beautifully aged today, this vintage shows why Cardinale is among the most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon wines from California. It can be enjoyed now with great pleasure, but still has the structure and balance for continued cellaring.
Cardinale is known for its philosophy: one wine, one focus, absolute quality. The 2008 vintage brings together grapes from both valley floor and mountain vineyards, resulting in impressive complexity, depth and a layered expression that few Napa wines can match.
A masterpiece from Napa Valley’s iconic vineyards
The vintage is composed of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot. Some of the fruit comes from the legendary To-Kalon Vineyard on the valley floor, while the rest comes from high-altitude vineyards on Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder, Diamond Mountain and the Stags Leap District. The combination of cool nights, mineral-rich soils and high elevation gives the wine its concentration, elegance and remarkable balance.
The wine is aged for 21 months in 100% new French oak barrels, adding structure, depth and refined barrel notes without overpowering the fruit. The result is a wine that is both powerful and silky smooth.

Finish: Long, opulent and persistent with impressive depth and balance.
The history of the house
Cardinale was founded in 1982 with a clear vision: to create one Cabernet Sauvignon that represents the very best of Napa Valley – regardless of field, but always with a focus on the best parcels. In the 1990s, the winery became part of Jackson Family Wines, opening the doors to some of California’s most coveted vineyards.
Since the early 2000s, winemaker Christopher Carpenter has been behind the Cardinale wines. His signature is clear: depth, precision, elegance and great aging potential. Produced in limited quantities, Cardinale is considered one of Napa Valley’s most consistent and prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon wines today.
