The history of the house

Christian Drouin was founded immediately after World War II by Christian Drouin senior, who had a clear ambition: to produce the best Calvados in the world. In the early years, he built up cellars and warehouses without ever selling out of production. These warehouses – and those that have since been built up by the family – today represent an extraordinary selection of vintage Calvados. In 1960, the house decided to produce Calvados under its own name, and some 20 years later the first bottling was released under the house name. Since then, Christian Drouin has received numerous awards and international recognition. Today, Christian Drouin the 2nd continues the tradition, both with the famous vintage versions (dating back to 1939) and with a range of elegant blends
