Littlemill 33 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Whisky – The Cask Reflections Collection Release No. 1

Littlemill 33 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Whisky – The Cask Reflections Collection Release No. 1 is a rare and historic whisky from one of Scotland’s most legendary distilleries. This exclusive bottling is a tribute to Littlemill’s long history and represents a unique chapter from a distillery that closed in 1994. For whisky enthusiasts and collectors, this is a unique opportunity to experience the taste of a distillery that no longer exists.

The whisky was distilled in 1990, during the last years of Littlemill’s production, and then matured for 33 years. The long aging in refill bourbon barrels has given the whisky an elegant structure and great complexity. As a final refined touch, the whisky is matured for a final four months in rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks, adding subtle spicy nuances and an extra dimension of depth.

The result is a whisky of remarkable balance and finesse, where the character of the distillery meets the exotic influence of Mizunara oak. The whisky is bottled at cask strength with an alcoholic strength of 49.1%, providing an authentic and unadulterated taste experience.

Only 570 bottles have been released worldwide, making this release a highly desirable collector’s item. The bottle is presented in an exclusive Glencairn decanter accompanied by an elegant wooden box with designs inspired by Japanese art – a presentation that matches the rarity and historical significance of the whisky.

Littlemill 33 Years is not just a whisky – it’s a living piece of whisky history. A rare opportunity to experience the legacy of Scotland’s oldest licensed distillery in a form that combines tradition, age and innovation.

History of the house

Littlemill Distillery is considered to be Scotland’s oldest licensed distillery, dating back to the 1700s. Located in the Lowlands region, the distillery became known for its elegant and fruity single malts. After several changes of ownership throughout its history, the distillery closed in 1994 and the buildings were later destroyed by fire. Today, Littlemill exists only through the few remaining casks, making every bottling a rare opportunity to experience the distillery’s unique style.
