This blended malt is composed entirely of carefully selected single malts from Speyside – all aged in sherry casks. The result is a whisky with massive body, dark fruit and a complex, almost vinous depth that only years of maturation in quality sherry casks can deliver. There’s no grain whisky here – just pure malt, blended with respect for tradition and balance.

The Vintage Collection range is created with a focus on the character of the vintage. The 1996 vintage shows a mature and elegant side of Speyside, with the sherry cask taking center stage with notes of dried fruit, spice and dark chocolate. Bottled at high strength, the whisky retains its full intensity and structure.

The story behind Old Perth

The name Old Perth comes from the city of Perth, Scotland, which was an important center of blended whisky production in the early 1900s. The original Old Perth blend was created in 1908 as a tribute to the city’s proud traditions and was known for its high proportion of sherried malt whisky.

Today, the legacy is carried on by the Morrison family, who have revived the Old Perth name with a focus on quality malt and classic sherry style. All whiskies in the range are blended in Perth using only selected Speyside single malts, primarily from the Glenlivet area, matured in sherry casks. The result is a modern interpretation of a historic style – powerful, rich and uncompromising.
