Pierre de Segonzac Lot 1924 Private Collection XO Cognac 40% – Rare Grande Champagne Cognac

Pierre de Segonzac Lot 1924 Private Collection XO Cognac is a unique and historic cognac from the heart of Grande Champagne – the most prestigious region of Cognac. This extremely rare bottling is created for collectors and passionate connoisseurs seeking a cognac with deep history, complexity and character.

Only 48 bottles have been bottled worldwide and only 2 bottles have made it to Denmark. This makes this cognac a true collector’s item and a rare opportunity to taste a piece of living cognac history. Lot 1924 represents a distillate that has evolved over generations in the family cellars and achieved a unique depth and elegance.

The grapes come from Grande Champagne and are made from Ugni Blanc, the classic grape of Cognac. After distillation, this cognac has matured for many decades in French oak barrels where it has slowly developed its complex aroma and silky smooth structure.

Pierre de Segonzac is known for its traditional approach to cognac production, where the entire process – from growing the grapes to distillation and aging – is done with great respect for the craft. The result is a cognac with authentic character and incredible depth.

The story of Pierre de Segonzac

Pierre de Segonzac is a traditional family house in the Cognac region, where the passion for craftsmanship and quality has been passed down through generations. The family has worked for many years to grow their own grapes, produce the wines and distill the eaux-de-vie, which are then aged in the historic cellars of the house.

As Pierre Ferrand himself has said: “To make the best Cognac, you have to grow the grapes, make the wine and distill it in the best way. Then you see it as it ages. In my cellars there is Cognac made by my father, my grandfather and my great-grandfather.” This philosophy is the foundation of the house’s production and explains why their cognac is now considered among the most authentic in the region.
