Pike Road Pinot Noir 2023 – Willamette Valley, Oregon – Elegant and authentic Pinot Noir

Pike Road Pinot Noir 2023 is the epitome of classic Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley – one of the world’s most recognized areas for this grape. Here you get a red wine with freshness, finesse and silky smooth structure, where nature, craftsmanship and passion come together.

In the glass, you’ll find a wine that combines juicy red fruit with elegant balance and subtle barrel character. It’s a Pinot Noir that appeals to both the connoisseur and those who just want a beautiful and harmonious glass of wine on an ordinary evening.

The Willamette Valley is known for its cool climate and long growing season, which gives the Pinot Noir grape optimal conditions to develop complexity and natural acidity. The result is a wine with depth, freshness and a vibrant character that makes it very food-friendly.

Serve slightly chilled at 14-16°C and is excellent with duck breast, mushroom risotto, chicken with fresh herbs or as a companion for a quiet evening in good company.

Tasting notes

  • Aroma: Erotic aromas of strawberry, cherry and raspberry with subtle notes of vanilla, clove and toasted oak.
  • Taste: Juicy and elegant with fresh acidity, soft red fruit and silky tannins.
  • Finish: Long and lively with red berries, forest floor and a hint of spice.

Production

Only the best grapes are selected for Pike Road. They are hand-picked and hand-sorted to ensure high quality. Fermentation takes place gently in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape’s pure and fresh aroma profile. The wine is then aged for 10 months in 100% French oak barrels, adding depth, complexity and a rounded structure.

The history of the house

Pike Road Wines is created by Elk Cove Vineyards – one of Oregon’s oldest and most respected wineries. The Campbell family has been farming in Oregon for five generations and producing wine for more than 50 years. The philosophy is simple: wines should reflect the place, the people and the passion behind them.

The name Pike Road comes from the winding road through Yamhill County, surrounded by vineyards. The grapes for this wine come both from Pike Road’s own fields and from more than 20 trusted growers in the area. Each bottle tells the story of dedication, patience and love for Pinot Noir.
