It was in 1982 that Pascal Fillioux inherited this fine estate, and 1983 was the first year in which he harvested, vinified and distilled under his name. This genuine man, whose skills and knowlegde and beyond question, has instilled a culture of quality at every stage of the making of his Cognac. Harvested in 1996, this Cognac was matured in second fill French Oak casks, in a temperate cellar. Enchanting nose of madeleine, candied citrus fruit, beeswax, quince.
Rich, complex, persistent mouth of prune, yellow peach, notes of chocolate, tobacco, toast illustrate a beautiful maturity. Delicious and long finish with aromas of candied orange and a touch of black cherry.

In the Cognac world < Jean Fillioux > is the reference that you have to know about. The domaine de La Pouyade is situated á Juillac-le-Coq and encompasses over sixty acres of handsome land representative of the heart of the Grande Champagne area. The Estate produces and Eau-de-vie of rare finesse that is considered as one if the best balanced in the cognac "Premier Cru" appellation. The Domaine is presently held by Christophe J. Fillioux, fifth descendent of the initial owner.
