Ihringer Spätburgunder Weißherbst QbA Lieblich 2024 – fruity-sweet and summery rosé from Kaiserstuhl

Ihringer Spätburgunder Weißherbst QbA Lieblich 2024 is a charming and fruity rosé wine from sunny Kaiserstuhl in Baden – one of Germany’s most recognized wine regions. Made from Spätburgunder, also known as Pinot Noir, this Weißherbst offers a harmonious balance of sweetness, freshness and elegant berry notes.

In Kaiserstuhl, the vineyards benefit from an almost Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine hours and warm volcanic slopes. This gives the grapes optimal ripeness and creates wines with intense aroma, soft fruit and great balance. The combination of lava soil, loess and clay also adds finesse and an elegant terroir character.

In the glass, the wine has a beautiful salmon-colored hue that immediately brings to mind summer and light, cozy moments. The bouquet is fresh and aromatic with notes of ripe strawberries, red berries and juicy grapefruit. The taste is harmonious, soft and fruity with a pleasant sweetness that is nicely balanced by the fresh acidity. The finish is round, elegant and full of juicy fruit notes.

It’s a rosé wine that’s perfect for the terrace, light summer dishes, fruit desserts or a cozy glass in the sun. It also works great with Asian-inspired food or lightly spiced dishes.
