Kilchoman Whiskey Tasting – September 16, 2026

Eriksen Vinhandel invites you to a very special whiskey evening featuring Kilchoman Distillery from the legendary whiskey island of Islay. This evening, we’ll be joined by guests straight from the distillery and will taste our way through a total of 9 different Kilchoman whiskeys.

It will be an exciting journey through the world of Kilchoman. Along the way, we’ll get a closer look at the distillery’s distinctive Islay style, where peat smoke, fruit, maritime notes, and various types of cask aging come together.

Catherine MacMillan from Kilchoman Distillery

Tonight’s tasting will be led by Catherine MacMillan, Brand Manager at Kilchoman Distillery. Catherine was born and raised in Ardbeg on the Isle of Islay, so her connection to the “Whiskey Island” dates all the way back to her childhood.

After several years abroad, Catherine returned to Islay to pursue her passion for whisky and turn it into a career. She has now been part of the Kilchoman team for more than seven years.

She helps share Kilchoman’s story with whiskey lovers around the world. Among other things, Catherine manages the distillery’s social media and supports a number of Kilchoman’s export markets.

With Catherine as our host, we’ll hear stories and gain insights straight from Islay. She’ll guide us through the nine whiskies and tell us about Kilchoman, the production process, and the ideas behind the various bottlings.

Note: The entire tasting and Catherine’s presentation will be conducted in English.

About Kilchoman Distillery

Kilchoman was founded in 2005 on the Isle of Islay and was the first new distillery on the island in more than 120 years. Since its inception, Kilchoman has built a strong international reputation among lovers of Islay Single Malt Whisky.

The distillery places a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and on keeping as much of the production as possible on Islay. Kilchoman is known, among other things, for its 100% Islay series, for which the barley is grown on the distillery’s own farm.

This evening, you’ll have the opportunity to get an up-close look at Kilchoman while tasting 9 different whiskies. It will be an evening filled with plenty of whisky, stories from Islay, and the chance to ask Catherine questions directly.
