Albert Bichot Chablis Premier Cru Les Vaillons 2022 – Classic Premier Cru from the heart of Chablis

Albert Bichot Chablis Premier Cru Les Vaillons 2022 is an elegant and mineral white wine from the famous Chablis region of Burgundy. This wine comes from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Vaillons, located on the left bank of the Serein River and known for delivering wines with finesse, structure and great depth. This is a classic Chablis with pure Chardonnay character and a distinct minerality that makes the area world renowned.

The wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes that thrive in Chablis’ cool climate and chalky Kimmeridgian soil. These conditions produce wines with fresh acidity, elegant fruit aromas and the characteristic mineral style often described as flinty or stony.

At Domaine Long-Depaquit, Albert Bichot’s historic estate in Chablis, grapes are harvested from vines with an average age of around 30 years. Vinification takes place primarily in stainless steel tanks, with a small proportion aged in older oak barrels. This method preserves the wine’s fresh fruit and minerality while adding depth and structure.

The result is a Premier Cru Chablis with a great balance between freshness, richness and complexity. The wine can be enjoyed young for its fruity character, but also has the potential to develop beautifully in the bottle for 5-10 years.

Tasting notes

  • Color: Clear golden color with light green reflections.
  • Nose: Fresh and elegant with notes of citrus, green apples, white flowers and minerality.
  • Taste: Clean and well-balanced with lemon, pear, fresh fruit and a hint of almond.
