Château Suduiraut Sauternes 2010 – Premier Cru Classé dessert wine from Sauternes

Château Suduiraut 2010 is one of the most seductive and elegant dessert wines from the famous Sauternes region of Bordeaux. This iconic wine proudly bears the title of Premier Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, placing it among the absolute finest sweet wines in the world. Luxury, complexity and finesse come together in a wine that can be enjoyed now and cellared for decades.

The 2010 vintage is a classic and highly sought-after vintage in Sauternes. The perfect climatic conditions provided optimal conditions for the development of the noble botrytis – also known as noble rot – which concentrates the sugar, aroma and acidity of the grapes. The result is a wine with an impressive balance between intense sweetness and fresh elegance.

The grapes are hand-harvested in several rounds so that only the perfectly infected botrytis grapes are selected. This careful selection results in a wine with great concentration and aromatic depth. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels where it develops complexity and structure.

In the glass, the wine appears golden with a brilliant depth. Already in its youth it impresses with intense fruit and silky texture, but with patience the wine can evolve for 20 to 40 years, gradually acquiring deeper amber-golden hues and even greater complexity.

Château Suduiraut 2010 is perfect with dessert, foie gras, blue cheeses or simply as a luxurious glass of wine on its own.

About Château Suduiraut

Château Suduiraut dates back to the 16th century and is today one of the most respected producers in Sauternes. In 1855, the château was honored with the classification of Premier Cru Classé, a recognition that still today testifies to the quality and historical importance of the wine.

The vineyards are located on gravel and sandy soils in the heart of Sauternes, where the mist from the Ciron river creates perfect conditions for noble rot. The combination of old vines, careful selection and precise cellar work produces wines of great complexity and impressive ageing potential.

In addition to the main wine, the château also produces the second wines Castelnau de Suduiraut and Lions de Suduiraut, which provide a more accessible introduction to the house style.
