The grapes come from a clone originally from a Grand Cru vineyard in Burgundy. It has been grown at Kistler for more than twenty-five years and is known for its very low yields. At Kistler, the work in the field and cellar is characterized by great respect for the grape and nature. The grapes are therefore harvested at night when temperatures are low. This is when the grapes are freshest and the acidity is best preserved, which is crucial for the elegance and structure of the wine.

In the cellar, each fermentation is handled with great precision. Fermentation is manually monitored around the clock, but there is as little intervention as possible. The wines ferment spontaneously on wild yeast at moderately cool temperatures and with minimal processing of the grapes. This natural approach produces a wine that expresses both the grape and the terroir with great authenticity.

The result is a complex and silky Pinot Noir with great depth, where the cool climate of the Sonoma Coast brings freshness, elegance and a long harmonious finish. A perfect match for duck, veal, mushroom-based dishes or classic French cuisine.
