A limited edition whisky with a red wine finish, distilled in Scotland and inspired by the proud traditions of golf.

This special bottling has been launched to celebrate the 151st edition of The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in England. The whisky has been developed in collaboration between Loch Lomond’s Master Blender Michael Henry and golfing legend Colin Montgomerie. Together they have created a whisky that combines the distillery’s signature style with elegant wine cask complexity.

The whisky is distilled in both Loch Lomond’s unique straight neck pot stills and classic swan neck stills. It is first aged in American oak casks, which impart fruity notes, honey sweetness and a hint of soft smoke. Selected casks are then aged in Spanish Grand Reserva Rioja Alta casks for a final maturation.

The Rioja barrels add extra depth and refinement. They contribute red fruit, darker nuances and a silky smooth texture. The result is a harmonious whisky, where the richness of the wine casks merges with the distinctive style of Loch Lomond.

The whisky is bottled at 46% alcohol and is non-chill filtered. This ensures a fuller mouthfeel and preserves all natural flavors. An ideal whisky for collectors, gifts and special moments.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Red berries, ripe apples and pears. Elegant vanilla and light spicy oak.

Flavor: Full-bodied and rounded. Notes of red fruit, honey, creamy vanilla and dark chocolate. A gentle smoke lies in the background.

Finish: Long and balanced. Warm oak, fruit sweetness and subtle smoke finish beautifully.
