Giribaldi Barolo DOCG Ravera Piemonte 2015 – Great and mature Barolo from Novello
Giribaldi Barolo DOCG Ravera 2015 is an impressive and deeply complex Barolo from the heart of Piedmont. Made from the Nebbiolo grape from the prestigious Ravera estate in Novello, this wine shows why Barolo is considered among the world’s greatest red wines. Here power and elegance meet in perfect balance.
The 2015 vintage is known for its maturity and concentration, and this Barolo expresses just that. It has a silky smooth structure, intense aromas and a long finish, making it a wine for special moments. It can be enjoyed now after a good decanting, but will also develop even greater complexity with further aging.
In the glass, the wine is classic and elegant. It combines deep fruit, warm spices and a refined structure. The ripe tannins provide both power and finesse, while the oak aging adds depth and spicy complexity.
Giribaldi Barolo Ravera 2015 is a wine that takes gastronomy to new heights. It goes perfectly with red meat, game and hearty simmered dishes. After several years of aging, it can also accompany mature cheeses or dark chocolate desserts.

Production and terroir
The grapes for this Barolo come from the Ravera vineyard in Novello in Piedmont. The vineyard is located around 360 meters above sea level. The soil consists of limestone, marl and clay, which gives the wine both structure and minerality.
The vinification follows traditional Barolo methods. During fermentation, the must is pumped over the lees several times a day for around 25 days at around 30°C. This process ensures maximum extraction of color, tannins and aroma.
After fermentation, the wine rests briefly in stainless steel tanks. It then ages for a full 60 months in oak barrels. This long barrel aging gives the wine its complexity, depth and elegant structure. Finally, it is further aged in bottle in Giribaldi’s cellars at a constant temperature of 16°C.
